The main aim of the conference is to create a space where we can continue to learn about the greater potential for SME success in their wider adoption of BIM and digital.
This aim will be achieved by focusing on the following objectives in designing the conference programme:
1. Provide a space for creating collaborative links between academics, industry and government aiming at the sharing of knowledge surrounding BIM and Open BIM that will help drive the digital transformation of the Irish construction SME sector.
2. Facilitate an open and constructive dialogue between researchers and practitioners based on research works and practical experiences which foster a better understanding of good practice in responding to the ongoing challenges facing the construction sector.
3. Strengthen and support the Irish construction industry’s commitment to the National Strategic Outcomes as articulated in Project Ireland 2040 and the current National Development Plan, in particular the role of digitalization in supporting such outcomes.
4. Reflect on a suite of transformative innovations that will collectively lead to a more innovative, efficient, skilled, diverse, sustainable, and productive Irish construction SME sector into the future.
